(NORTH LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS – 12 MAY 2010) Conservative Republican U.S. Senate candidate Curtis Coleman announced today his “Campaign for Arkansas” tour stops in the South, Southeast, and Southwest Arkansas counties of Garland, Miller, Howard, Jefferson, Bradley, Ouachita, Union and Columbia on Friday and Saturday, May 14-15, 2010.
“Folks all over Arkansas are telling us that it’s time for change in the U.S. Senate,” Coleman said. “It’s time for strong, clear, unwavering leadership from an Arkansas Senator who will listen to Arkansans and faithfully represent their views and values. Our stops in Southeast, South, and Southwest Arkansas are not ‘hit and run’ events designed just to build name ID. I’m going to take time to listen to concerns and answer questions, just like I’ll do when I’m representing Arkansas in the U.S. Senate.”
Coleman will participate in a U.S. Senate debate sponsored by the Faulkner County TEA Party Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in Conway’s McGee Center before beginning his South Arkansas tour on Friday.

Mr. Coleman,
I was prompted to write to you regarding an article on arkansasnews.com. In it, you are quoted as saying “I don’t know where the president was born, which is a matter of immense concern and a constitutional issue for all Americans. If he has nothing of consequence to hide, then there’s no acceptable reason not to have full disclosure.”
From this, you appear to be supporting “birther” efforts to smear the good name of the 44th President of our nation. In your defense, you are also quoted as saying “I haven’t been following this,” he said. “I know this is a continuing controversy. I’ve just been focused on the debt and jobs and the deficit and health care” and mentions that you haven’t seen evidence disputing birther claims.
