An April 28, 2010 Rasmussen Reports poll shows conservative Republican U.S. Senate candidate Curtis Coleman increasing his lead over incumbent Senator Blanche Lincoln from 12 points on April 1 to 20 points, 52% to 32%. The Report also shows Curtis, who has never run for or held public office, now leading Arkansas Lt. Governor by 6 points, 43% to 37%. “We have too many people making the rules who’ve never played in the game,” Curtis said. “Arkansans clearly agree that we need to put small businessmen and businesswomen in the House and Senate; people who’ve had to make a payroll, who’ve provided health insurance for their employees, and who understand the implications and impact of the regulations and legislation they’re creating.”
Curtis is cofounder and former President and CEO of Arkansas-based Safe Foods Corporation.
The Arkansas primary is May 18. Early voting begins on Monday, May 3.
