Curtis Announces “Young Conservatives for Coleman” Coalition

March 15th, 2010 by Webmaster

This election is about their future.

(NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR – 13 MARCH 2010) Conservative Republican U.S. Senate candidate Curtis Coleman announced today the formation of “Young Conservatives for Coleman,” a coalition of Arkansas college and university students who are supporting and participating in his campaign for the U.S. Senate. “These student leaders understand that this election is about their future,” Coleman said. “They know they’re going to have to pay for this insane out-of-control spending my generation has been doing in Washington. I want to empower them to take control of their political future.”

Coleman introduced the founding campus directors for the “YCC” coalition at a news conference at his campaign headquarters:

John Shelby Gragg – The University of Arkansas in Fayetteville

Skot Covert – Arkansas Tech University in Russellville

Lindsay Givens – Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia

Bailey Gray – Northwest Arkansas Community College in Bentonville

Bridget Nutt – Lyon College in Batesville

Raeanne Gardner – Harding University in Searcy

Justin Meeks – The University of Arkansas at Little Rock

“Curtis Coleman is dedicated to helping many generations after him enjoy the same freedoms and liberties that Americans have enjoyed for so long and I am proud to support him as the next Senator from the Great State of Arkansas,” said Gragg. ”This election cycle will have an unprecedented effect on my generation, and Curtis understands that. Curtis is passionate about securing the freedoms and liberties as prescribed by our Founding Fathers for my peers and me. Young Conservatives for Coleman will be a force to be reckoned with from now until November,” said Covert.

Alex Reed, Director, Young Conservatives for Coleman, said that the group will be active in all phases of the campaign, but especially in voter registration and get-out-the-vote efforts.
